The role

You will report to Senior Manager Gippsland and your responsibilities will include providing intensive, early intervention support for young people at risk of disengaging from education. This role is located in Bairnsdale, with outreach to Lakes Entrance and is a casual position. Our standard business hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.  Whilst this is casual, you can anticipate that you may be rostered to work approximately one to three days per week.

About you

  • Degree in social work, counselling, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with young people from a child-centred and strength-based perspective in a setting relevant to the role.
  • Proven organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage own workload to meet timeframes and job-related expectations.
  • Good all-round computer skills and literacy, having used the Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word etc.

We provide:-

  • Competitive salary including meal/entertainment and salary packaging.
  • Hybrid and flexible working arrangements to support work-life balance.
  • Generous employment conditions and benefits including additional paid leave benefits – parental, study, personal and compassionate, flexible, family violence leave as well as paid ex-gratia leave between Christmas and New Year.
  • Access to professional development and training including our Registered Training Organisation programs where we provide accredited and non-accredited courses.
  • Best practice clinical supervision and support through a comprehensive Employee Assistance Program.
  • Career progression opportunities internally across Melbourne Metropolitan and Regional Victoria centres.

The hourly rate for this position is between $60.44 to $64.79 per hour inclusive of 25% casual loading.
