About the role
We are seeking a female caseworker and group facilitator to join our team. You’ll be responsible for providing direct therapeutic casework and group facilitation to men who have used abusive, controlling or violent behaviours in their intimate relationship; and providing group facilitation to female victim survivors of Domestic Violence as part of the Women’s Advocacy Program. 

Details:

  • This is an identified position. Being female is a genuine occupational requirement of this position under s31 of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act 1977
  • 3 days per week (any 3 days between Monday and Thursday)
  • Contract  to 30/6/24
  • Based at Broadmeadow
  • Approx $44 – $49 per hour + super, leave loading, salary packaging benefits 

What you’ll bring

  • Formal graduate qualifications in Social Work, Psychology or other relevant disciplines
  • Experience in working with families that have experienced family domestic violence
  • Casework experience with individuals and families
  • Experience working with men who are perpetrator’s of violence
  • Ability to provide quality therapeutic casework interventions that are person- centred, trauma-informed, strengths-based
