About the role
This is a full time, permanent positions (35 hours per week) based in Liverpool.
Working within a multi-disciplinary team and supported by a comprehensive training program in trauma informed practice you will assess families’ needs holistically assisting them to form goals that will address their therapeutic needs.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing therapeutic casework services based on the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics and the Proactive Case Management model
- Identifying the therapeutic needs of families, children and young people and structure the support intervention accordingly in collaboration with the Clinical Team and Youth Hope Coordinator
- Advocating on behalf of service users and linking them to ongoing support.
- Availability to provide services to families, children and young people at times and in locations that are most suitable to their needs, including evenings and weekends.
About You
- Degree level qualifications or equivalent in Social Work, Welfare, Psychology or related field with a minimum of 3 years casework experience with children, young people and families.
- Demonstrated ability to engage families with high and complex needs and work in partnership with them to achieve their goals, using a variety of intervention strategies from a range of theoretical models.
- Demonstrated understanding of child protection issues and an ability to conduct risk and family assessments within a competency-based approach.
- Demonstrated experience in engaging and working with CALD and Aboriginal children, young people and families in a way that is culturally responsive and appropriate
