Duties of the successful applicant include:
- Manage the daily operations of therapeutic residential OOHC programs in the Toowoomba region including safety planning, crisis response, and person-centred strategies.
- Embedding a therapeutic framework by overseeing best practice implementation of Children and Young People’s tailored care, and fostering an outcomes-focused team through the CREATE Model of Care.
- Professional and responsive engagement with stakeholders via phone, email, and in-person meetings as a key aspect of collaborative casework and care.
- Development and management of program rosters.
- Provide leadership, supervision, and mentoring to care teams of Therapeutic Care Workers.
- Responsible for meeting OOHC reporting requirements for programs and ensuring that appropriate documentation is kept in line with regulatory and legislative standards.
- Administration and accountability of finance and program planning.
- Occasional after-hours and on-call duties.
ABOUT YOU
The successful applicant/s will require the following Qualifications and Experience:
- Ideally degree qualified (Social Work, Psychology, etc), although having a minimum Certificate IV qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. Youth Work, Social Work, Social Science, Counselling) is essential.
- Relevant managerial experience in residential OOHC is essential with strong understanding of practice, legislative/regulatory, and staff support requirements. Experience in developing case plans/safety plans/behaviour support plans, case noting and report writing is essential.
- Demonstrated experience in working effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families, and communities.
- Current HLTAID003 Provide First Aid Certificate or equivalent is essential.
- Current National Police Clearance Check (valid within 12-months)
- Valid unrestricted Australian drivers’ license
- Valid QLD Blue Card
- Valid NDIS Yellow Card (or willingness to attain)
- Experience in working with young people with complex trauma is essential.
