Therapeutic Specialist 

We are seeking passionate, energetic clinicians who have trauma informed expertise, together with experience working with children and young people, to join our Hobart-based team. 

 

About the role:

Based in our Children and Families team, the role is available on a part-time or full-time basis. 

We encourage you to apply for this role if you: 

  • Are a skilled and experienced clinician with a knowledge of, and experience in, a broad range of trauma informed therapies; 
  • Have experience working with children and young people who have experienced trauma; and
  • Want to use your counselling skills to support a case load of clients on their journey to recovery.

About SASS

We are a not-for-profit community-based 24/7 crisis response and counselling service supporting people affected by sexual assault. We are based in Hobart, and also have a number of regional outreach services as well as program specific counselling staff state-wide. 

Our counsellors and therapeutic specialists are guided by trauma informed principles. We are a values-based organisation, with a strong commitment to diversity, continuous quality improvement and staff development. 

Our services also include a comprehensive primary prevention program including consent training in schools, ticketed workshops, and tailored training in businesses, organisations and the community sector.
