Be Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a Therapeutic Specialist with previous experience working with at-risk young people in Western Sydney.
The clinician will drive the planning and delivery of assessments and treatment of children and young people living in residential care or foster care placements.
Some of the key responsibilities are:
- Creating assessment plans individualised to evaluate the needs of each young person
- Develop formulations for each child to inform therapeutic interventions, behavioural support, and transition plans.
- Providing therapeutic trauma-informed reflective practice, supervision, training, support and consultation to staff in delivering programs for children and young people in intensive therapeutic care.
- Providing individualised treatment to young people and working with them to engage them in processes.
- Creating Behavioural Support Plans and coordinating and monitoring the timely review of Behaviour Support Plans.
Skills and Experience
- A tertiary qualification in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health Nursing or a related discipline
- Current registration with a professional body (AHPRA/AASW/ACA/PACFA etc.)
- Demonstrated experience working with children and young people experiencing complex trauma
- Minimum of two years experience working with young people within a therapeutic casework or clinical setting
- Vaccinated or exempt from vaccination against COVID-19
- Full NSW Drivers License
- Willingness to obtain a First Aid and CPR Certificate prior to commencement
- Willing to undergo a national criminal history check.
