As SCEI is constantly growing, we are looking for a Trainer and Assessor to join our team on a permanent, part-time basis to deliver the Diploma of Community Services course to our students.
We require a trainer to be available on for three days per a week and be able to commence early August.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Prepare for and deliver classes in accordance with all the relevant standards
- Mark student assessments and update results on the student management system
- Provide students with timely feedback and support
- Liaise with admin to ensure student records are up to date
- Undertake professional development to ensure industry currency
- Collate feedback from students promptly and liaise with the Training Manager to ensure that student related issues are resolved effectively
Selection criteria:
- Diploma or higher in Community Services or related discipline
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment including LLN unit
- A minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in an industry role
- A minimum of 1 year experience in an education role (desirable)
- Previous experience working with International students will be highly regarded
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
- Ability to engage the class and draw on own experiences to provide students with a rich learning experience
- Demonstrated capacity to motivate and coach students to excel in their course
- Proactive and positive approach to teaching adult learners
