As SCEI is constantly growing, we are looking for a Trainer and Assessor to join our team on a permanent, part-time basis to deliver the Diploma of Community Services course to our students.

We require a trainer to be available on for three days per a week and be able to commence early August.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Prepare for and deliver classes in accordance with all the relevant standards
• Mark student assessments and update results on the student management system
• Provide students with timely feedback and support
• Liaise with admin to ensure student records are up to date
• Undertake professional development to ensure industry currency
• Collate feedback from students promptly and liaise with the Training Manager to ensure that student related issues are resolved effectively

Selection criteria:

• Diploma or higher in Community Services or related discipline
• Certificate IV Training and Assessment including LLN unit
• A minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in an industry role
• A minimum of 1 year experience in an education role (desirable)
• Previous experience working with International students will be highly regarded
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
• Ability to engage the class and draw on own experiences to provide students with a rich learning experience
• Demonstrated capacity to motivate and coach students to excel in their course
• Proactive and positive approach to teaching adult learners
