Mental Health Trainer & Assessor

An opportunity is now available for a Trainer and Assessor to join our national training team. Candidates will be able to deliver Certificate IV in Mental Health.

You will be joining a flourishing RTO with an established reputation for producing quality, industry-ready graduates.

We are seeking someone with current knowledge and current skills in mental health. Ideally, we looking for an experienced trainer who is passionate about quality student experiences, understands the importance of complying to industry standards and works well as part of a team. 

To be considered for this role, you will:

  • Hold a qualification in Certificate IV Mental Health with the ability to demonstrate current industry currency
  • Have academic teaching experience in VET, including developing training materials, face to face delivery, student engagement and student assessment
  • Demonstrate commitment to developing your teaching expertise, including your understanding of teaching and learning technologies (LMS experience essential)
  • Have experience updating student records and marking assessments in a timely manner in accordance with Celtic Training’s compliance procedures
  • Have experience working in a cross-cultural environment and dedicating yourself to supporting students from diverse backgrounds
  • Commit to ongoing professional development and maintaining industry and Vocational currency.
  • Conduct work placement visits.
  • A commitment to customer service and a willingness to go above and beyond your role for quality student outcomes.

Selection criteria are as follows:

  • Candidates must hold TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Demonstrated experience in vocational education and training
  • Vocational qualifications that are equal to or above what is being delivered
  • Relevant experience and industry currency in the area that is being trained and assessed
  • Strong level of interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication and organisational skills
  • A current Working with Children Check—Employee
