About the role:

The Purpose of this role is to provide Rapid Response Services (including critical incidents, planned support service, rapid connect, disaster response and incident support forums) using the primary intervention models of Psychological First Aid, stepped care and referral pathways, to support Converge International’s customers during an incident or organisational change, and informing the organisations of themes, recommendations, or any internal (customer) process improvements. This role may also include the delivery of EAP and Training and Consulting Services.

We are seeking motivated and experienced registered Psychologists and Social Workers to provide critical incident, general debriefing and crisis counselling support to our client organisations. Using Psychological First Aid (PFA) and other trauma specific interventions and approaches to support individuals and their organisations through providing triage, one-on-one trauma support and group sessions.

About you:

• Experience in providing psychosocial interventions, support and counselling.
• Relevant experience and minimum 3 years trauma management and/or relevant consultancy services
• Demonstrated ability to assess workplace issues, identify suitable intervention programs and provide solution- focused advice to achieve agreed outcomes
• Have a passion to help people and enjoy working flexibly in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent time management skills, report writing skills and your willingness to demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude
• Demonstrated ability and experience in delivering People Assist services (EAP, RRS).
• High level negotiation and facilitation skills
• Work collaboratively with all stakeholders

3-5 years of relevant experience as a psychologist or social worker is desirable and you will be trained in Psychological First Aid.  A tertiary qualification in Behavioural Sciences and registration with the appropriate professional body is required. A current driver’s licence and your own vehicle is a must.
