Social worker level 3 – $53.00 – $54.77 per hour
Occupational therapist level 3 – $53.00 – $54.77 per hour
Clinical nurse specialist grade 2 – $52.70 – $55.06 per hour
Senior Psychologist – $56.32 – $61.17 per hour

About the Opportunity
Our team is seeking a self-motivated Senior Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker or Psychologist – permanent residents, as well as temporary visa holders, are encouraged to apply!

Our new Virtual clinician has the exciting opportunity to work and gain experience across all community Mental Health teams in assisting clinicians in delivering virtual mental health services to consumers.

Does it excite you to perform a role where you would:

  • Promote, support and evaluate the ongoing use of virtual care
  • Provide training and support to clinicians, consumers and other stakeholders in using virtual care systems including Teams, PEXIP and MyVirtual Care.
  • Provide clinical care to consumers who are identified as benefitting from virtual care provision eg consumers in supported accommodation.
  • Present virtual care in mental health in a variety of forums eg symposiums which support the promotion of virtual care and contribute to the body of knowledge regarding virtual care.
  • Review and further develop the SWSLHD Mental Health Virtual Care Implementation Plan.

What you’ll be doing
As a senior clinician provide leadership, mentorship and supervision, to ensure the delivery of evidence-based, strengths focused, recovery orientated assessment and treatment within a multi-disciplinary team. Carry a clinical caseload, appropriate to the needs of the service.

How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.

  1. Relevant qualifications as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Psychologist currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), or qualified Social Worker eligible for registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Additional requirements apply for classifications Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 and Senior Psychologist: A Senior Psychologist must obtain a minimum of 9 years experience working as a Psychologist. Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 must obtain a post graduate qualification and minimum of 3 years experience working in the relevant field.
  2. Demonstrated experience providing advanced evidence based, strengths focused, recovery orientated assessment and treatment for consumers of the mental health service.
  3. Demonstrated commitment to the philosophy and practice of consumer’s families and natural supports participating within the treatment process, as appropriate and in accordance with the NSW Mental Health Act 2007.
  4. Demonstrated skills in leadership and clinical supervision, within a multi-disciplinary treatment setting.
  5. Effective interpersonal skills, problem solving skills and personal resilience.
  6. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and competence in the use of information technology systems.
  7. Demonstrated leadership in the planning, implementation and evaluation of local service delivery incorporating the quality improvement process.
  8. Ability to work independently and in consultation with the multidisciplinary team.
  9. Current unrestricted Australian drivers licence (P2 Licence Acceptable) subject to obtaining NSW drivers licence within 3 months of appointment.
