JOB DESCRIPTION

Way Back is a follow-up service to support people after a suicide attempt. It is a free, psychosocial, assertive outreach service focused on empowering people to connect with formal and informal support by providing guidance, encouragement, motivation and follow-up for up to a three-month period.

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU

As the Way Back Team Lead, you will provide clinical input, consultation and decision-making relating to client care plans to ensure customers can find their way back after a suicide attempt. This is a highly collaborative program working in partnership with key community partners to maximise outcomes for the customer. You will manage resources in a flexible and efficient manner to ensure a responsive and culturally appropriate service. Supported by our clinical team, you will develop a high performing team to improve the emotional wellbeing for customers.  

This is a full time contract position until June 2024 based at Tweed Heads working across Lismore and Grafton. Part time/ flexible working hours can be negotiated with the successful applicant. 

About you 

You are passionate about making a difference in the lives of people impacted by psychological distress and experiencing suicidal crisis and: 

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of outreach based psychosocial care and clinical frameworks.
  • Ability to lead and supervise a team.
  • Demonstrated creative and proactive approach to the management of change
  • Relevant degree qualification 
  • Checks required: National Criminal History Check, NDIS Worker Check, Working with Children Check and Drivers license.
