We are opening a new service in Lismore delivering mental health and social and emotional wellbeing support programs to Aboriginal, and Torres Strait Islander Peoples 12 years+. About Lives Lived Well
At Lives Lived Well, we support people to live their life well by delivering a wide range of programs and services across 55 locations in QLD and NSW. We celebrate diversity and strive to provide culturally inclusive services.

About the Role
We are looking for full-time Wellbeing Clinicians/ Mental Health Counsellors to deliver 1:1 counselling/case management and group programs out and about in the community as well as at our service location in Northern Rivers.
Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:
- Develop and facilitate the implementation and evaluation of culturally appropriate management care plans for clients with complex needs.
- Identify and apply innovative culturally safe clinical practice models relating to mental health care based upon current research and practice and appropriate to the community location.
- Provide group and individual counselling utilising a variety of intervention methods from a trauma informed framework.
- Provide outreach support across Northern NSW (company car provided)
- Organise, and deliver health promotion activities and special events to engage target populations.
The base salary ranges between $77,577.76 – $88,761.92 per annum, depending on your skills, knowledge, and experience + 10.5% super + salary packaging benefits.
About You
You will be an engaging individual who can connect with clients as they navigate mental health challenges and difficult life experiences.
We are also looking for the following skills and experience:
- Qualification in community services/ Allied Health, and relevant experience (outreach experience preferred)
- Experience in conducting mental health assessments, developing appropriate care plans, and overseeing resulting treatment for clients.
- Experience leading the development, implementation and review of group programs based on culturally sensitive community development models.
- Understanding of the issues affecting mental health consumers in treatment and the community, particularly intergenerational trauma.
- High level knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, and the cultural needs relevant to local communities.
- Ability to actively engage and work collaboratively with a diverse range of clients, their families/carers/kin.
- Current Australian (issued) Drivers Licence and a current Working with Children Check.
