Qualifications & experience
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a role with recruitment responsibilities
Good communication and strong relationship building skills
Strong attention to detail - It would be advantageous to have the following (however training will be provided for the right candidate):
Mental Health First Aid,
First Aid Certificate,
Certificate in Social Services or Workplace Health and Safety - Experience with Welfare/wellbeing care responsibilities desirable
Experience in workplace health and safety compliance advantageous - Ability to work with differing nationalities and cultures
- Flexibility to respond to out of hours calls on worker welfare issues
Tasks & responsibilities
- The Wellbeing Officer actively provides meaningful Welfare and Wellbeing services to all employees.
- Provide Wellbeing to all employees in your designated area;
Ensure Effective and nurturing relationship management between workers outside of work and management
Continual professional, personal and in some cases spiritual assistance or referral; - Be approachable, resourceful, keen to listen and give support to a diverse large number of workers. A high level of Cultural understanding, patience and keen listening skills is a major part of this role
- Commitment to team work with Site Managers and Team Leaders;
Effective weekly documentation and reporting to the HR Manager on worker issues that include accommodation, workplace incidents, general health and wellbeing
