Grand Pacific Health is a not-for-profit, primary health care organisation.  We’re here to provide our local communities in NSW and the ACT with equitable, inclusive and integrated health care including physical health and mental health care services.  We currently employ 340 people, provide services from 25 locations and are continuing to grow.

About the position

The Housing and Accommodation Support Initiative (HASI) is a program that supports people who live with a mental health condition to build independence and participate in their community, in a way they choose to. HASI is a recovery-oriented and person-led service, underpinned by recovery principles and values. We strive to walk in partnership with people to find their path to wellness and support them to live a life they value.

We are seeking an Indigenous Wellbeing Worker to assist program participants to identify their values and strengths, set goals for the future, and build skills to work towards achieving these.

This position delivers practical support with a focus on the development of decision-making skills, social participation, independent living, healthy lifestyle, community access and building self-identity and resilience skills.

Based in our Nowra hub, this is a full-time opportunity. It’s a fixed term position until 30 June 2025.

What you’ll need

  1. Identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and be an active member within the local Aboriginal communities
  2. Demonstrated skills in engagement and collaboration, with the capability to build and maintain positive working relationships, across a range of organisations
  3. Qualifications in mental health, health or community/social services discipline (minimum Certificate IV) and demonstrated understanding of the mental health sector and recovery principles
