Central West Women’s Health Centre is a community-based charity run by women for women. We are a dynamic organisation dedicated to assisting disadvantaged women, children and young people experiencing trauma, many as a result of domestic and family violence and sexual assault.  We are committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate case management services to help women recover, overcome challenges and achieve their goals.

Terms and conditions in accordance with the SCHADs award negotiated based on qualification and experience. 

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Women’s Case Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work, counselling, advocacy or related field and possess a genuine passion for supporting women in their journey towards empowerment and self-sufficiency. 

Role and responsibilities:

  • Conduct intake assessments to determine the needs and goals of women seeking assistance.
  • Develop personalised case plans in collaboration with clients, focusing on their strengths and aspirations.
  • Provide individualised support and advocacy to women facing a range of challenges, such as domestic violence, economic hardship, mental health concerns.
  • Connect clients with relevant resources, services, and community support networks.
  • Monitor and evaluate progress towards goals, adjusting case plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners, including homelessness services, healthcare providers, legal services, to ensure holistic support for clients.
  • Maintain accurate data and confidential case records, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
  • Advocate for women’s rights and raise awareness about issues affecting women.
  • Implement age-appropriate techniques and tools in individual and group settings.
  • Advocate and facilitate referrals to relevant support services as required.

 

Skills and experience:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual with the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Counselling, or a relevant field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in an equivalent or similar role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in supporting individuals with complex needs (e.g. challenging behaviours, homelessness or domestic violence, mental health).
  • Strong communication skills and a person-centred approach.
  • Team player and a willingness to share knowledge effectively with team members.

Requirements

  • Current Driver’s license.
  • National Police check.
  • Working with children check
  • Evidence of full COVID-19 Vaccination
