About the opportunity

Uniting Vic.Tas together with our partners: Gippsland and East Gippsland Aboriginal Co-operative (GEGAC) are seeking multiple Youth Alcohol & Other Drug (AOD) Support Workers to join our Traralgon Youth Residential Rehabilitation program.

The Youth Alcohol and other Drugs Support Worker contributes to the provision of a safe and hospitable environment for young people seeking withdrawal and/or respite from the acute use of alcohol and/or other drugs.

About you

We are seeking candidates with tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, community Services or other relevant allied health discipline including cert IV, Diploma and above, certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs or the required competencies in AOD and qualifications in dual diagnosis (or willingness to undertake).

You will also have demonstrated experience in the provision of assessment and counselling services (preferably to dual diagnosis clients), as well as experience working with clients/consumers working towards goals identified in an individual treatment plan.
