So as a Youth Consultant at Omnia Inclusive, what will a day in your life involve?

Youth Consultants deliver group and individual training to develop participants skills and confidence and to support with achieving their employment, independence and social goals. They use their creativity and understanding of learning to develop content and tailor workshops to suit needs of unique groups.

Youth Consultants provides end to end support for Omnia Inclusive participants/candidates in preparation for employment and/or life skills, including internal training, workplace and community support and to ensure positive, productive outcomes for Omnia Inclusive participants/candidates.

Youth Consultants work with dedicated Youth Workplace Consultants to develop the skills and employability of participants and ensure progress towards individual career and life goals.

Who are we looking for?

The drive and ambition to design and deliver creative workshops to engage and support youth with all abilities

• Not essential but it would be desirable if you had relevant qualifications (or working towards) in Community Services or Education or youth work or similar

• High level of computer literacy

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• An energetic, positive attitude with a commitment to personal development and career progress

• Ability to work in an ever changing environment

• Resilience and confidence in conflict resolution to support with challenging behaviours

• Confidence in developing employer and community partners to establish work experience and employment opportunities

• An understanding of the NDIS

What will you need?

Your stellar communication and customer service skills will shine in this role. You’ll be a great problem-solver, able to think outside the box. Occasional emotional challenges are an inherent part of this role. You may not have a formal qualification, and that’s OK! We’re looking for people who have had either life or working experience in supporting disadvantaged individuals and have experience achieving targets and KPI’s

Conditions of Employment

This position is required to undertake all necessary National Police Check and any State/Territory Working with Children Check/NDIS Worker Screening check. All checks must be renewed upon expiry in a timely manner.

All employees are required to prove their ‘right to work’ in Australia by providing copies of appropriate documentation prior to commencement.
