Youth Development Coach – Wellbeing Schools Industry Partnership

JOB DESCRIPTION

Maternity Leave position December 2023 to July 2024

Workforce Australia – Transition to Work program is a Federally funded Government program that assists young people aged 17-24 yrs old prepare for, secure and maintain employment.

YES – Youth Employment Services is an initiative of Schools Industry Partnerships, delivering this program across the Penrith, Blue Mountains and Hawkesbury regions.

The Wellness Development Coach provides one-on-one counselling sessions, vocational assistance, therapeutic assessments, referral pathways, and group programs to assist participants in managing or overcoming any vocational and non-vocational barrier to gaining employment.

 Based on the identified barriers, the Wellness Development Coach will engage in relevant counselling strategies with the participant. The strategies will aim to reduce the impact the barrier has on the participant’s ability to gain and maintain employment. 

The minimum educational requirement for this role is a Bachelor’s degree (minimum 3 years) in Counselling, Psychology or Social Sciences.  Experience delivering evidence informed practice is required.

Registration with a Professional Body will be highly regarded.

The following are requirement of the role:

  1. A current NSW driver’s licence and Comprehensively Insured motor vehicle.
  2. Current Working with Children Check and Federal Police Check
