About the role
This exciting part-time Youth Intake Worker role at YOUTH OUTREACH is based in Arundel QLD 4214. As a key member of the team, you will play a pivotal part in providing vital support and services to young people seeking accommodation assistance.
What you’ll be doing
- Conduct initial intake assessments to identify the needs and challenges faced by young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness
- Develop and implement individualised support plans to address the specific needs of each client
- Liaise with relevant community organisations and stakeholders to coordinate placement into services
- Maintain detailed case notes and records in line with organisational policies and procedures
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of intake and assessment processes
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
What we’re looking for
- Relevant Degree qualification in Social Work, Youth Work or a related field. Candidates with Diploma and extensive experience will be considered.
- Experience in conducting intake assessments and developing support plans for young people
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients
- Demonstrated understanding of the challenges faced by young people from a Trauma Informed perspective
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across different organisations
- Excellent written and administrative skills
- Passion for making a positive difference in the lives of young people
