What you’ll be doing
The position has a clinical focus and delivers high-quality assessment, care planning and evidenced-based interventions to young people and their families, to promote recovery from Early Psychosis. This position will work closely with other mental health clinicians across service settings to facilitate seamless care and build the capacity of mental health services to work effectively with youth and their families. The Youth Mental Health Clinician will work within a Youth Mental Health, Early Psychosis model that promotes collaborative partnerships with other community partners and service providers.

Selection Criteria:
- Qualification in Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, Clinical Psychology or Occupational Therapy and registration with relevant professional body or eligibility for registration.
- Experience working within an Adult Mental Health or Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service.
- Advanced skills in mental health assessment and treatment including individual and family interventions.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and sensitivity to the mental health needs of young people (14-24 years) and their families.
- Demonstrated understanding of Early Intervention philosophy, principles and practice.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
- Current C class drivers licence.
