Youth Mental Health Worker (Youth Plus)

- Full Time, 75 hours per fortnight or Part Time
- Fixed Term up to 30 June 2023. Contract extension anticipated dependent on program funding.
The role on offer
The Youth Mental Health Worker (Youth Plus) will work as part of the friendly, collaborative, supportive and passionate headspace Lithgow team. Supporting a case load of 15-20 (FTE) young people (and their families) who are experiencing or are at risk of experiencing complex and severe mental ill-health.

Who we are looking for
- Possession of tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work or other allied health discipline recognised by the tertiary mental health services sector.
- Provisional or Registered Psychologist or Qualified Social Worker
- Current full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) or current full membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- Experience in working with young people with severe or complex mental health needs, including assessment, crisis intervention, and evidence-based interventions
- Highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Please note that we require all staff be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, a Working with Children and National Police Check clearances.
