Youth Program Case Manager – Queanbeyan Palerang and Snowy Mountains Southern Region BEC

Enterprise Plus is a dynamic regional organisation that delivers a comprehensive range of business and educational services in the southern region of NSW.

We are seeking a enthusiastic Youth Program Case Manager to join our team to deliver our Get Back in the Game Program servicing the following LGA’s; Queanbeyan Palerang and Snowy Monaro.

The role requires sensitivity and a genuine desire to make a difference.  You will work with young people, aged 15 to 19 years, who have disengaged from traditional education and for whom the transition to employment is challenging. You will provide individual client case management to re-engage them back into education and training pathways and/or support their transitions to sustainable employment.

The successful applicant must have experience in working with young people in either case management settings, through the delivery of youth support services, or through employment or education services; and must be able to work with minimal supervision, manage a caseload and meet deadlines; hold a current working with children clearance or be eligible to obtain one; and hold a current driver’s licence.

$75,000 plus super annual salary equivalent. 

Contract position until the end of June 2024 (with possibility of extension)

The position includes a motor vehicle for business use, laptop and a mobile phone.

Selection Criteria:

1) Demonstrate your ability to communicate and relate to young people and other key stakeholders (schools, businesses and local community).

2) Demonstrate your ability to work with young people to improve their education, employment and life outcomes.

3) Demonstrate your ability to collaborate and work with regional stakeholders and explain your understanding of regional issues for young people.

4) Demonstrate your ability to work with minimal supervision to set priorities and meet deadlines to achieve results.

 Essential Requirements:

  • Be able to relate well to young people and possess the skills necessary to work with disengaged youth with challenging and complex issues. 
  • Experience in working with young people in case management settings.
  • Well-established local networks/ability to develop networks within local communities.
  • Ability to liaise effectively between stakeholders in education, industry and community organisations to broker training, skill development, work experience and employment opportunities.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision to set priorities, manage caseload and meet deadlines to achieve targets/KPIs. 
  • Hold a current NSW Working with Children clearance or have an ability to obtain one.
  • Hold a current driver’s licence.
  • Well-developed communication skills.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Relevant qualifications in the delivery of youth support services; employment or education services and/or career and transition advice.
  • Experience with record keeping and the use of a range of IT software.
