  • Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday – 8.30 to 16.30

About the Role

Community Solutions are proud to deliver the Circles of Support – Youth (COSY) Program in the Nambour area. The aim of COSY is to assist vulnerable young people aged 8-21 years by engaging, assisting and encouraging them to access relevant support services and providing opportunities for them to facilitate positive life choices and minimise their personal risk.

This role will take a strengths-based approach to case management that will assist participants to identify achievable goals and activities that will support them with their pathways.

This may include supporting participants to address barriers, linking them with specialist support services and facilitating group activities. As part of the group work component, outside of business hours work will be required at times.

What you will bring to the role:

  • An understanding of the issues faced by young people ‘at risk’ and a solid understanding of the issues impacting young people in the community
  • Case management experience including reporting complex information and advocating on behalf of participants
  • You are a true people person who can easily connect with young people and others in the community
  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience within Community Services, Youth Work,or a similar sector
  • A sense of resilience and empathy to work with participants experiencing complex barriers
  • Strong IT and administration skills, you have experience recording case notes and using MS Office Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Flexibility to work some additional hours from time to time when other team members are on leave

Additional requirements:

  • Right to Work in Australia i.e. Australian/NZ Citizen, Permanent Resident or visa with Permanent Work Rights 
  • A current Blue Card (Working with Children Check), or the willingness to gain clearance if successful. We will reimburse you the cost of the check on commencing
  • Willingness to undertake a specific “Fit2Work” Police Check
