Our Intensive Therapeutic Care (ITC) Newcastle Team are seeking passionate, dedicated, resilient and reliable Youth Support Workers to empower our Young People & Families to achieve what’s important to them through quality care, planning and safety delivered outcomes.
As a Therapeutic Youth Worker your responsibilities will include:
- Active support: Assisting in day to day activities such as meal prep, dressing, transportation, social outings, planning for and achieving daily goals
- Health support: Administering medication whilst following individualized health support plans
- Positive behaviour support: Managing behaviours, triggers and escalations
- Safeguarding: Ensure the safety of you and the young person, accurate documentation and reporting
About you
- Qualifications – Must hold or be working towards a relevant Diploma or Degree
- Demonstrated motivation to work with young people
- Must be available to work a variety of shifts including overnights
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence (mandatory requirement)
- Current First Aid Certificate, HLTAID011 (or willing to obtain)
- Minimum 2 doses of Covid-19 vaccinations
