Standard Membership
Graduated from a Recognised (RTO) qualification at Diploma level or higher in Counselling. Membership Requires JP signed qualification. Higher level CPCA Members will require proof of Professional Development and Supervision
The AQTF identifies level 5 as Diploma Level. Both TEQSA and ASQA comply with the AQTF framework. CPCA accepts qualifications issued under either authority.
Student Membership
Be enrolled and actively studying a Diploma in Counseling or other Diploma with significant links to counselling such as Youth Work, Mental health, Child safety, Community Services and Youth Justice. Membership requires proof of enrolment.

Associate Membership
Any person who supports the aims of the CPCA. Membership requires proof of graduation or employment in related field.
Associate members who do not gain a Diploma of counselling may remain associate members after completing their course of study.
