Hays has partnered with an organisation delivering high-quality child and family services across Queensland. With a strong focus on outcomes and professional rigour, they support vulnerable children, families, and communities through evidence-informed programs. This is an opportunity to join their organisation permanently as a Senior Project Officer.

Your new role

As the Senior Project Officer , you’ll play a pivotal role in enhancing service delivery and practice quality across child and family service streams. Your key focus areas will include:

  • Leading and managing projects that improve operations and quality of frontline practice
  • Operationalise strategic priorities into service improvements
  • Support integration of policies, procedures and practical frameworks
  • Contribute to risk management, compliance and service evaluations
  • Lead quality improvement activities
  • Monitor and interpret data from compliance and audits to inform improvements
  • Support staff and business leaders through mentoring, guidance and capacity building

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field
  • Experience in the human services sector, particularly child and family services
  • Proven ability to lead strategic or operational projects in community services
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed and culturally responsive practice
  • Experience mentoring staff and leading change through influence
  • Skilled in interpreting service data to inform improvements
  • Current Driver Licence and eligibility for relevant checks (e.g., Blue Card)
