About Restful Minds Counselling

Hello. My name is Chanelle, the person behind Restful Minds Counselling. Whilst working in education, health and disability sector peer support, advocacy and partnerships, I decided to go back to school, and completed my Diploma of Counselling and Professional Certificate of Neurodivergent Affirming Practices. I am currently studying a Graduate Diploma in Relationship Counselling and also hold a Bachelor of Arts degree (BA) in Media and Political Science. My role is to walk alongside people with empathy, curiosity, and care. People choose counselling for many reasons – stress, grief, relationships challenges, life changes, career challenges, or simply feeling ‘stuck.’ Together, we can explore feelings, gain clarity, and find practical ways forward. I do not diagnose mental health conditions or conduct clinical assessments and my services are not available for Medicare rebates. Some people may choose to speak with a registered psychologist trained to assess, identify, and diagnose mental health conditions, such as anxiety, depression, or trauma-related disorders. During counselling sessions, I will always discuss options with clients about support services available, which could be suitable for them and can provide counselling for NDIS participants where my services are an appropriate support with their plan.
