Counsellor/Counselling Psychologist

Part-time (0.6FTE)

Fixed-term (12 months)

The Geelong College is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Counsellor/Counselling Psychologist to join our Student Wellbeing Team on a part-time basis for a 12-month fixed term contract.

The position of Counsellor/Counselling Psychologist will work alongside an existing counselling team to support and provide counselling services to students across Junior, Middle, and Senior Schools. The Counsellor will work closely with our Learning Enrichment staff, pastoral staff, Health Centre staff and Heads of School.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Post graduate qualification in relevant fields and/or experience in Education
  • Relevant qualification in social work, youth work, counselling, or psychology. 
  • Certificate of Registration within the appropriate mental health field (e.g. AHPRA)
  • An understanding of the relevant code of ethics and practices
  • Hold a current Working With Children Check (WWCC) (Employee Status), or ability to obtain
  • Hold a current First Aid (HLTAID 011), CPR (HLTAID 009) and asthma
